Safer Care Victoria Academy Members
Safer Care Victoria is seeking consumer representatives and safety specialists to become SCV Academy Members.
What's the opportunity?
Safer Care Victoria is seeking healthcare, human factors and consumer representatives to support safety reviews and support Victorian health services to learn from serious incidents.
To be established in the next few months, the Safer Care Victoria Academy will initially comprise 10 members from a broad range of backgrounds who will be engaged as needed to conduct complex reviews and broader system reviews. Members will also advise, mentor and train health services.
What do the roles involve?
Successful applicants to the sessional roles will receive training and be paid for their time. Appointed for three-year periods, SCV may call on members to conduct:
- An incident review
- A systems issue review
- A cluster analysis
- A health safety system check
Members will also mentor, advise and train health services.
Who should apply, and when do applications close?
Applications are sought from all backgrounds, including health professionals in general and risk, safety and quality professionals specifically.
Applicants do not need to be the most senior experts in their field. SCV encourages early and mid-career applicants, with good interpersonal skills, knowledge of the health system and a willingness to learn.
Closing date for applications is Sunday, February 18, 2018.
