Consumer Representative Opportunity for input into new Quality and Safety Committee
West Gippsland Healthcare Group is calling for expressions of interest for the role of consumer representative on their new Quality and Safety Committee.
The purpose of the Committee is to ensure that effective and accountable systems are in place to monitor and improve the quality and effectiveness of our services.
- We are looking for a consumer representative from our local Baw Baw region, who is as passionate as we are about ensuring our services meet the needs of our community.
- You will need to be able to participate in complex discussions with healthcare professionals and articulate the potential issues that confront patients, families and carers, and our community, whilst also embracing a broader, ‘big picture’ perspective.
- You will need to undergo a police check and a working with children check, and abide by our Privacy and Confidentiality policy.

Committee meeting location and dates: First meeting will be held on Tuesday the 9th October at Warragul Hospital, and will then be an ongoing arrangement held on the second Tuesday of every month.
Length of appointment: The successful candidate will be appointed for a two-year term however this can be extended upon mutual agreement.
Consumer Support: The successful candidate will be provided with sound orientation and support from the committee, to enable you to perform your role with excellence.
