Katy Adams
Board Member
After over 20 years working as a decision maker in financial services dispute resolution, Katy successfully completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course. Her assignment for that course involved an aged care case study, which led her to volunteer at a local aged care residence.
Katy was a consumer representative for the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal. She has extensive experience in vocational training and public speaking. She was a parent representative on the Board of a not-for-profit childcare centre and has been an active member of other community groups.
Katy qualified as a solicitor in England in 1989. When she migrated to Australia, she requalified as an Australian lawyer in 1996. Katy has 2 children, who are university students.
While living in the UK, Katy benefited from the excellent universal healthcare of the National Health Service. She is passionate about ensuring that high quality healthcare is provided to all. Within Health Issues Centre, Katy will ensure that her governance and life experience makes a positive contribution to the Board.
