Getting involved: Being a Consumer Representative
Being a Consumer Representative is a great way to contribute your knowledge, insight and ideas to help improve the health care system for everyone.
A health consumer representative is a member of a health organisation committee who represents the consumer perspective. Consumer representatives may sit on committees run by government, health care providers, professional bodies, or non-governmental organisations. The role of a consumer representative can be complex, as the input they provide needs to represent the experience of a range of health consumers, not just their own personal experience.
