Cancer Council Webinar 18 October 2016
Looking after someone with cancer can be challenging, but also rewarding. Many people are balancing this valuable role with other demands such as work, family or study and it’s common to feel unprepared and unsure of where to go for information and support.
Join our free webinar to hear about ways you can manage your own wellbeing, while providing the best support to the person you are caring for. Our experienced and understanding presenters will talk about:
- common experiences when looking after someone with cancer
- how to look after your own needs
- where to find reliable information and practical support
Presenters:
- Mr Hamish Park who will share his experience about supporting his father through cancer
- Dr Carrie Lethborg Social Worker with extensive experience supporting people with cancer and their families
- Dr Anna Ugalde Research Fellow focusing on models of supportive care for people with cancer and their carers
- Ms Caroline Mulcahy CEO of Carers Victoria, the peak agency providing advocacy and support for unpaid, mostly family carers.
Submit questions or topics you would like the speakers to cover when you register. Participate in an interactive 30 minute Q&A session at the end of the presentations.
Not available on the night? You can still register and we will send you a link to the recorded webinar to watch at your own time.
