Evaluation of National Palliative Care Strategy 2010
The Australian Government Department of Health has commissioned Urbis, social research and evaluation consultants, to conduct an evaluation of the National Palliative Care Strategy 2010 (the Strategy).
The purpose of the evaluation is to assess the value and effectiveness of the Strategy, and identify new and emerging priorities and opportunities in relation to palliative care for improvement in the future.
Urbis would like to invite you to take part in a workshop to share your views on the achievements of the Strategy and opportunities for improvement. The workshop will focus on the impact of the Strategy and will include a wide range of stakeholders including state/territory government health services, palliative care providers and local carer and consumer organisations.
The workshop will include discussion on the following issues:
- The ways in which local services and organisations have engaged with the Strategy
- The impact of the Strategy on local service development and implementation
- Achievements of the Strategy in enhancing or influencing the consumer and carer experience
- Barriers or enablers in implementing the Strategy at a jurisdictional level
- Opportunities and priorities for the future.
