What do we offer?
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) requires that health services engage consumers across all ten national safety and quality standards
Health Issues Centre is offering a full-day workshop to help health services prepare for the implementation of the ten national safety and quality standards, particularly with Standard 2: Partnering with Consumers. This workshop is especially useful for quality managers, consumer engagement officers, patient liaison staff, complaint managers and consumer consultants.
This workshop will cover:
- Background, definitions and principles of consumer engagement;
- The rationale and evidence for consumer engagement
- How to put the principles into practice
- Implementing safety and quality standards
- Barriers to consumer engagement and how to address them
- Auditing your service for consumer engagement
When is the next Health Issues Centre workshop?
This workshop is currently offered as on-site training only.
On-Site Training
Health Issues Centre staff can deliver the workshop on-site at a location of your choosing. These can be held at any time, but are subject to staff availability.
The pricing for these sessions is dependent on number of participants and location requested.
