Eastern Get About
What was the project about?
Eastern Get About is a new community transport service provided by Eastern Volunteers, in partnership with SCOPE, EACH and Yarra Ranges Council.
This innovative transport service provides safe, accessible, cost-effective, door-to-door service to clients who live in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. It will help disadvantaged clients to be mobile and independent in their local community including being able to travel to medical appointments, go shopping or catch up with friends.
Our role in this project was to provide advice into the development of the application and assessment forms, as well as the overall program evaluation.
Who is our partner?
How did we go about it?
- We reviewed draft versions of the application and intake assessment forms to ensure they were user-friendly and accessible to clients.
- We also provided assistance with the program's evaluation methodology which included pre- and post- surveys with clients.
What was achieved?
The final intake and assessment forms were easy to read and understand from the consumer perspective.
The evaluation process incorporated what was important to clients and their cares. The pre- and post surveys, for example, incorporated questions that were relevant to clients and their carers.
