Review of consumer engagement processes
What was the project about?
We were called on to review Gippsland Regional Integrated Cancer Services' consumer engagement strategy and activities.
Who was our partner?
Gippsland Regional Integrated Cancer Services (GRICS)
How did we go about it?
We developed an assessment and checklist to assess GRICS’s performance against national and Victorian consumer participation benchmarks and best practice. The review consisted of content analysis of relevant GRICS documents and reports, and consultations with managers, staff and consumers engaged in the GRICS Consumer Reference Group.
What was achieved?
Based on the review, we provided them with concrete recommendations for improving the way GRICS works with their consumers. A report outlining our recommendations was developed.
