CALD webinars on type 2 diabetes
Diabetes Victoria is excited to announce a new initiative that aims to deliver type 2 diabetes information to community groups that live in rural and regional areas of Victoria.
What does the webinar involve?
The webinar will include a presentation about diabetes prevention and management and will be delivered online.
A bilingual health facilitator will connect with the group live from the Diabetes Victoria office to facilitate interaction, supplement presentation content and answer questions.
Webinars will be delivered to the following community groups at their chosen location, with the assistance of a Diabetes Victoria staff member:
- African (delivered in English)
- Arabic
- Greek
- Indian (delivered in English)
- Italian
- Mandarin
- Vietnamese
What will the webinar cover?
The webinar will cover:
- Types of diabetes
- Symptoms of type 2 diabetes
- How diabetes can affect your body
- Risk factors for type 2 diabetes
- How to reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes
- Managing diabetes
