HIC accredited training 2016

Health Issues Centre’s nationally accredited courses have recently been re-accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

Changes have been made to the curriculum to reflect the latest research and best practice in consumer and community engagement and consumer leadership from around the world.

The Course in Consumer Leadership (10163NAT) and the Graduate Certificate in Consumer and Community Engagement (10164NAT) are developed specifically for the health and community service sectors in Australia.

The courses align themselves with the requirements of States and National safety and quality standards and support health and community services in Australia to successfully meet accreditation requirements in consumer engagement.

The Graduate Certificate in Consumer and Community Engagement (10164NAT) provides the skills and knowledge that health and community services managers and staff need to plan, implement and evaluate consumer and community engagement in their services.

The Course in Consumer Leadership (10163NAT) prepares consumers, carers and community leaders to work in partnership with health and community services management and staff to ensure safe and high quality healthcare.
